I made some solar filters for my SkyWatcher 80ed and thought I would post here in case anyone else is interested.

 

I found these on Amazon and they fit the scope perfectly: http://www.amazon.co...1?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 

Here is a shot of the ones I made.  The 4" for the scope and used the 5" for the storage case. :)

 

Now just got to wait for the clouds to clear....

Oops!  Just noticed that should be the 5" for the scope and 6" for the case.

That a very nice innovative solution Joe!

 

Please post the link in the DIY section as well. This hobby is expensive enough as it is so these solutions really help in controlling the costs.

 

Lets hope the cloud clear soon.
