Santa was good to me this year.  For Christmas I got the following:

  • William Optics Star-71
  • ATIK EFW2 Filter Wheel
  • Astronomik SII & OIII Filters (Already have HA)
  • StarTech powered USB Hub
  • RigelSys Focuser

I've spent the last couple of weeks getting the right spacers and getting everything wired up in my observatory.  I think I have it all working now.  Just need a clear night to try it all out.  I may try some narrow band with my OSC QHY10 just to see how it turns out.  I hope this spring to get either an QHY23 or ATIK 490EX.  Right now I'm leaning toward the QHY mainly because it has -45c cooling compared to -25c for the ATIK.

My original light box I made for my SCT is way to big for this scope so I also make a smaller version to use with this scope.

Here are a couple of shots of the setup.  The extension you see on the scope if a piece of 4" PVC pipe. I used felt furniture pads to make it fit tightly.
