While waiting for narrowband targets to become available, I just pointed at Comet C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS and let it go for nearly four and a half hours last night.

Luminance – 130x120s binned 2x2

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) May 23rd, 2013 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.

Collected with Maxim, calibrated, registered, normalized and saved to jpegs with CCDStack. Avi created using PhotoLapse3 (http://home.hccnet.n...photolapse.html). Title added using Adobe PhotoShop (there must be a better way).

Dan,

Outstanding work! Thanks for the link to the program. Looks like the comet is a slow mover?

Regards
