Every year I go over to the ATT event in Essen. This year it was packed but there were fewer vendors at the event. Still some of the well known German suppliers were there such as Telescope Service (TS) and Astro Systems Austria (ASA) etc... I didn't however see APM? Not sure if I missed them or if they pulled out of the event?

Here are some of the images that I have taken just to give you an overall impression;

The Mesu 200 mount. I'm not a fan, I think it looks exactly what it is, a home made mount. The finish for me isn't quite good enough for me to call this a product that you can sell for +4k Euros. You decide for yourselves? Some people rant and rave about these mounts!

Continuing on with the ATT exhibition.

I have some more photos but I think you get the idea by now... Unfortunately this year I didn't come home with any new toys!

Kewl! Looks like a decent size show Neil! Did they have any of those new Italian scopes 'Officina Stellare'? These are supposedly amazing ultra-corrected RC that have replaced RCOS ('RC optical systems') here in the US as the premier RC supplier

I didn't see any Dave, just lots of PlaneWaves, they seem to have taken over as the predominant high end RC / corrected DK etc...

They tend to sit them on the really big and I do mean big 10 Micron mounts.

Probably something like 50k all in if you have got it to spend that is!!!

Regards

Neil.
