That looks very interesting but unfortunately I will have only just returned from holiday in the USA.

I like the website colour scheme, something for here may be?

Enjoy yourself Mick and I hope that you get some clear skies.

Will be interesting to see how dark it is, should be better than my garden. Just hope the weather is OK. It is Wales....

Are Wales? You had better watch out for Druids and Witches then? Or the occasional killer sheep!  :D

I'm sure that it will be very dark there since their still using oil lamps in Wales, right?

Let us know how you get on...

Regards

Didn't manage to get to this in the end. Work got in the way & I has to go to France instead.

May still go to campsite to see what it's like (I go walking in the Brecons occasionally) so could camp there.

Got a pitch at kelling for October, hopefully I will make that!

I went to the Brecon Beacons Astrocamp.

We were joined by the BBC Sky at Night Team who filmed over two days.  The sky was very dark, but only had a couple of clear patches on Saturday and Monday, Sunday was raining, and even those clear pacthes were "come and go".  However the site its excellent and so was the organisation.  I hope to go again.

Tried to image but my dew heaters packed up.

I didn't go either but I am going to the Brecons on the 1st October & will be coming home on the 5th. I went there last year & when we did have some clear skies I have to say the skies were amazing.

Fingers crossed for clearer skies this year.

The site I went to was here.

It's situated in a Valley so not the best all round view I will admit although there is still plenty to see or image. The Milky Way was the best I'd ever seen as I've never seen so many stars, even the major constellations were hard to see due to the amount of stars you were able to see with just the naked eye.
