In the spring of 2014, I received planning permission from my wife to build an observatory with one key
stipulation: it had to look like a normal "townhouse!". After some searching on Marktplaats, I found a
suitable shed to convert into a roll-off-roof observatory.
First we had to fix any rotten supports before we could focus on strengthing the roof. A roll-off-roof
design was the perfect choice for my requirements. Relatively simple to build and automate in the future.
The following gallery documents the six-week build process, completed with the help of my son.
